PEDIATRIC

Committee Minutes

January 2010

If you are interested in taking the ENPC course, look on the Cal ENA Education page for courses in your area.

There will soon be an ENPC re-certification course. Please look for this course in your area soon.

Our Goals

  • We continue to support the growth of ENPC courses throughout the state.
  • We will try to recruit more instructors to teach.
  • We will watch legislation relating to pediatrics.
  • We will work with the Injury Prevention Committee to set up some sort of injury prevention activity that can take place in several locations around the state.
  • We will work with the National Committee to see if we can make a pediatric get-together available at Scientific Assembly in San Diego in September.

Check the web site under Cal ENA Educational Offerings for classes available throughout the state.
If you are interested in taking the provider course and/or the instructor course, please contact
Christine Marshall.

Our committee meets at 9 am at the State Meeting and we welcome anyone interested to join us. You do not have to be a pediatric nurse.

Do you need ENPC courses taught in your rural area?

Apply to the state ENA Pediatric Committee for grant money which has been made available for this purpose. You may apply for up to $1,000.00. Two such grants are available to help defray costs of this very important course. It is available on a first come first serve basis.

Requirements include:

  1. Hold a 2 day provider course
  2. Hold an instructor course to develop new instructors for your area

The Pediatric Committee meets at 9:00 to 10:15 at State Council. Everyone is invited to attend.
If you are not able to attend, but would like to submit a topic for discussion or share information,
please E-mail to
Christine Marshall
